Former MMA fighter Paul Allen was shot in his throat last week in London, England. He was shot a total of six times.

He is currently in critical condition after the shooting. The 41-year-old was at the residence that belonged to Russell Kane, a British comedian, when he was shot.

Kane’s house, according to The Telegraph, is located in Woodford Green, in London’s northeast section. The incident took place at approx. 11 pm local time on Thursday when a gunman, according to reports, shot through the window of the residence at the back section of the house.

When the gunman was shooting, one of those bullets struck Allen in the throat.

According to Bloody Elbow, a man, who is in his 50s, was initially arrested for attempted murder after the incident. However, he has bailed out. He has a date to return to court in August.

The Evening Standard is reporting that a second individual was arrested for the shooting on Sunday. The 28-year-old was arrested on attempted murder, along with additional firearm charges.

Allen was also part of the 2006 Securitas robbery that reportedly nabbed £53 million ($66 million in US dollars) that happened on February 21st, 2006 and into the early morning of February 22nd, 2006 at the Securitas Cash Management Ltd depot in Vale Road, Tonbridge, Kent. At least 36 suspects were arrested in the case, including Allen, according to the Daily Mail.

This is reportedly the largest heist in British history.

Former MMA fighter ‘Lightning’ Lee Murray was the alleged mastermind of the robbery. He is presently serving his 25-year sentence in a Moroccan jail, according to Bloody Elbow.

Allen is allegedly Murray’s ‘enforcer and ‘trusted lieutenant.’ A decade ago, Allen plead guilty to being involved in the crime, but he allegedly did not enter the depot, like the other robbers, or kidnapped anyone.

He reportedly received $1.6 million for his actions that day, according to Bloody Elbow. Allen was ordered to pay that back.

However, it was reported in 2018 that he did not have the funds to pay back the money after paying approx. $500. Thereafter, a court ruled that he did not have enough funds to pay back the rest of the money.

After the verdict, he was seen driving around in a Mercedes convertible and a Rolex worth $68,000.
