Pawn Stars employee Austin “Chumlee” Russell was recently featured on the hit TV show talking to an individual, who attempted to sell LeBron James high school mouthpiece. The sell was very confident that it was from one of his games at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio.
Chumlee was surprised that he was holding the mouthpiece, according to the video. He asked, ‘Is this really LeBron James’ mouthpiece?’
While he was freaked out that he was holding the piece in his hands after it was in James’ mouth at some point, he said he loved it. The mouthguard had ‘King James’ on it along with ‘Gloria’ and ’23.’
Since High School, his nickname has been ‘King James.’ Also, his jersey number since that time has been 23, as he idolized Michael Jordan, and his mother’s name is Gloria.
The seller wanted to get $12,000 for the item. The seller also showed Chumlee a picture of James wearing the same mouth guard.
Chumlee wasn’t sure of the price, so he called in help to give him an accurate price on the item. Dan, who looked over the item for Chumlee, said at best the item is worth just $5,000.
Unfortunately, Chumlee was not able to reach an agreement with the seller, who went down to $9,000. Chumlee went back to the seller with a $4,500 offer, but it was rejected.
