According to Deadspin, there is no body cam footage from an an incident between Toronto Raptors President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri and an Alameda County Sheriff’s Office deputy. The incident happened after the Raptors won the NBA Championship against the Golden State Warriors at ORACLE Arena.

The authorities allege that Ujiri roughed up the Sheriff Deputy, including giving him a concussion. Ujiri also allegedly shoved the Sheriff Deputy, as well.

While Ujiri is back in Toronto, the authorities are considering their options now. The Raptors said they will help in the investigation.

The incident is expected to be handed over to the District Attorney soon. However, one thing the DA will not be able to get is body came footage.

The authorities allege that Ujiri struck the deputy in the face — and they say video backs up their claims. However, with no body cam footage, what exact video are they referring to? They have not said.

On Wednesday, the authorities said there was no body cam footage, as the Deputy would have had to turn on the body cam — or maybe it was defective. Yet, there is other video from fans, which have been posted on social media.

The Globe and Mail is reporting that three eye witnesses — who sat within 10 feet of the incident — agreed there was a shoving incident. The officer did not know who Ujiri was and attempted to stop him before getting onto the court.

The witnesses allege Ujiri showed his NBA ID to get onto the court. However, the officer allegedly shoved him, before Ujiri shoved him back. All three witnesses say there were no punches thrown, like the Deputies claim.

The authorities allege the Deputy suffered a concussion and a jaw injury. The officer is being represented by lawyer David P. Mastagni, who said his client may sue the Raptors, the NBA, and Mr. Ujiri.
